We’re on the lookout for the Heroes of your Club
Every surf life saving club has its heroes. Not just the guys and girls who wear the red and yellow, but the unsung heroes behind the scenes too.
From the mum who always has a smile on her face, to the dad who gives up his Sunday mornings to help out with the Nippers, to the hero from the past who’s still passing on his knowledge today. Now its time to show them how much you appreciate all they give.
Nominations have now closed and club officials have submitted the successful nominee for each participating club. Now it’s your opportunity to vote for the nominee in each region you think most strongly displays the spirit of Surf Live Saving Australia. Voting is open until 29 February 2008 and when all the votes are in, the nominees with the most votes in each region will be deemed “finalists”. The finalists will be presented to a panel of judges who will decide on the eventual winner for that region. The winner will be recognised for their contribution by a trophy, and $1000 will be provided to the surf life saving club that nominated the winner in each region.
There are everyday heroes in every community.
